Bowflex Reviews That Are Straightforward

Bowflex reviews that will cover the most interesting areas of the bowflex including cost, safety and effectiveness.

Is the success of the bowflex due to excessive marketing or does it actually work? The reviews here will hopefully answer that question for you.

Bowflex is made by the Nautilus group which includes the Nautilus®, StairMaster®, Schwinn® and the Bowflex® lines of home and commercial exercise equipment.

The main competitors to the bowflex line are the Weider Crossbow and the Bandflex.

The bowflex reviews and information on this page and the bowflex reviews of specific bowflex models (further down this page) will help you to determine just how different the bowflex is compared to it's main competition and from conventional home gyms and weight lifting equipment.

The first problem I have with the bowflex is that not all models will give you a total body workout. The lower priced one's don't have back or leg attachments. This means that in order to make it worthwhile you would have to buy one of the expensive models.

The Bowflex is not an option if you're looking to save your money. There are many alternatives that are much cheaper. However, if money isn't an option and you are looking to get decent (but not spectacular) results then the bowflex would be a good option.

Why?

Well, it does work and most models are quite well built. It's also safer than a lot of free weight options and has the ability to work your muscles in the same manner.

There are 6 main bowflex models to choose from including:

  • Bowflex Sport
  • Bowflex Xtreme
  • Bowflex Ultimate
  • Bowflex Xtreme 2
  • Bowflex Motivator
  • Bowflex Versatrainer

Depending on what model of bowflex you're looking at, you can get a lot more exercises than you can with some of the competition.

Another good point to mention in these bowflex exercise equipment reviews is that you can fold it up when you're not using it so it takes up less room in your house. As you know there aren't many homes nowadays that can afford to have exercise equipment taking up a complete room.

In addition, the bowflex allows for a greater range of motion than most of the home gyms that are available.

I've been using both the Power Flex™ and the bowflex in my fitness centers for years and I've yet to see a difference in the quality of the workout or the results. Out of the hundreds of clients that have used these two pieces of exercise equipment none could tell any significant difference.

Of course the big difference is the price. Depending on which model of bowflex you're looking at, it can cost you up to 7 times the cost of a Power Flex™!!

Both work relatively good unless of course you're looking for very dramatic results in a short time. If that's the case then I would suggest not reading the bowflex exercise equipment reviews any further and either join a good gym or invest in some good home weight lifting equipment.

So, the main thing you can take from the bowflex exercise equipment reviews here, is the cost of the bowflex.

Would you rather buy an expensive bowflex or save approximately $1700.00US and get the same workout with many other pieces of exercise equipment?

One of the other complaints we've heard a lot about over the years and when doing some extra research for the bowflex reviews was from taller individuals.

Many people who are 6' tall and over say that it is somewhat awkward to use. So keep that in mind if you're looking at a bowflex.

These bowflex reviews are a starting point - you need proper nutrition planning in order to succeed. You also need to be able to effectively use the bowflex information here to determine your exact needs, make a decision on the equipment you need then use that equipment properly and consistently to reach your goals.
