Symptoms can include, but aren't limited to: impaired sensation in the limbs, carpal tunnel syndrome, and impotence. When sensation in your body is reduced, infection from injuries may worsen and not be noticed. This can lead to amputations.
- Diabetic coma – also known as diabetic ketoacidosis. This happens when you become severely dehydrated and your metabolism is greatly imbalanced. Since your cells become starved of energy, your entire body will shut down - leading to a coma.
