I bought a Power Block System but found it awkward to use. Changing the weight with the pins was a hassle and I didn't like the feel of the block while using it.
I find a complete set of dumbells,though more expensive, it's much more convenient for me and less awkward to use. Sorry to not like your recommended exercise equipment but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Best wishes, Jack Hain

I had the same problems with the Power Block dumbells that you mentioned Jeff. I found that while it is a very convenient piece of exercise equipment (for me anyway), the feel of using them just wasn't as good as I hoped.
What I mean is that they are very bulky when compared to dumbells in a gym, so the motion of each rep isn't as smooth, if you know what I mean.
In my case, the Power Block was the only dumbell "set" that had heavy enough weight for me to use at home. I'm a big guy and I needed a set that ranged from 30 pounds all the way up to at least 110 pounds, and didn't take up as much room as a full gym quality set would.
This exercise equipment was the only thing I could find. While it may not be the best for everyone, for me, it's the best I could find.
