Use Sports Training Techniques To Maximize Your Athletic Ability

Sports training techniques that are specific to your particular sport. This will ensure you will maximize your over-all sports performance quickly & easily.

On this page we will discuss the basic training techniques that all athletes must adhere to.

At the bottom of this page, and on other fitness training pages accessible from the home page, you will find sports conditioning training programs specific to your particular sport.

There are many fitness training secrets that have the ability to quickly maximize strength, easily increase explosiveness, endurance, etc. for any athlete.

Unfortunately, even the best sports training techniques won't help if you don't learn and use them in the proper manner.

Are you a parent that would like to see your child learn proper and safe sports training techniques to enable them to blow past their competition?

Are you an athlete that would like to break your personal records and soar past your friends and colleagues at your future competitions with easy to learn sports training techniques? If you answered "yes" to either question, then you're in the right place!

It doesn't matter what sport you're involved with or what age you are, with the sports conditioning training you'll find on this page and throughout this site you will be able to explode through what you thought was your personal potential, break through your barriers and permanently overcome your weak points in the shortest time possible.

One of the first things we're going to talk about are the mistakes athletes make in their sports conditioning training programs.

"The Most Common Sports Training Mistakes"

Before using any sports training techniques you have to recognize and correct some of the most common mistakes you may be making.

Instead of incorporating proper sports conditioning training techniques the majority of athletes will tend to pay too much attention to their skill level. Most have a decent skill level for their particular sport but they don't realize that through proper fitness training they can dramatically improve their skill level and athletic performance.

Unfortunately, if you're an athlete, by avoiding proper sports training techniques you'll end up burnt out and your skill level, over time will decrease. Your motivation will decrease as well and if you're not careful your sports career could be over quickly.

You need sports conditioning training that are new, that work in a different manner than what your body is used to and is specific to your sport. Sports training techniques need to be able to work around your skills. Your sports conditioning training will indirectly enhance your skill level, if done properly.

The next mistake you have to make sure you avoid is using incorrect fitness training methods. Many athletes are guilty of this due to the fact that they tend to believe everything they are told about sports conditioning training and fitness training in general.

A lot of times other athletes in different sports or even athletes in the same sport but with a dramatically different skill level will mention that a certain type of fitness training works. Unfortunately, when the athlete in question starts using these same sports conditioning training techniques they end up compromising their own potential.

These problems can also be caused by well-meaning coaches and athletic trainers who don't realize that each athlete is different and it's vital for each one to use sports training techniques that are specific to skill level, ability, genetics, etc.

Sports conditioning training that is specific is like a match made in heaven. As an athlete you'll start to greatly enhance needed strength and flexibility, something you may have thought was not possible due to limitations placed on you by poor sports training techniques.

Another result of using proper sports conditioning training is that your balance and stability will improve. But keep in mind that your sports conditioning training has to be focused towards your sport, your skill level, and your fitness training experience.

"Principles Of Sports Conditioning Training"

The main goal of any sports conditioning or fitness training program has to be to improve your playing performance. As an athlete you're abilities are different than all others regardless if others play the same sport as you or not.

You have to be dedicated in your fitness training and use the sports training techniques that will improve your ability, not someone else's. You may be in great physical condition when you start or you may not be. Regardless, with the proper and focused sports conditioning training programs you will greatly enhance your sports ability.

There are 4 main principles that apply to all sports training and fitness training programs that you need to be aware of.

#1. Overload: With the overload principle your sports conditioning training must consistently be performed at a higher level than usual to produce various fitness training adaptations. Once your muscles have adjusted to this more intense level of fitness training your performance will be more effective and efficient.

You can apply the overload principle by constantly changing up and using a different mix of fitness training frequency, intensity, duration and type of exercises used.

#2. Specificity Of Training: This means that training-induced adaptations in metabolic and physiologic systems are specific to the type of fitness training or sports conditioning training techniques you use. A good example of this is that running will increase fitness levels but it won't do anything to improve your swimming performance and vice versa.

#3. Individual Differences: The way your body responds to certain sports training techniques will differ greatly from other athletes of the same physical condition, age, experience, etc.

So always keep in mind that all sports conditioning training you do has to be constructed in such a way as to meet your fitness training requirements and physical capacity.

#4. Detraining: Regular fitness training during your sports season and during the off season is necessary to maintain and improve your level of fitness. If you take too much time off from fitness training the beneficial effects you initially experienced will gradually decline or reversed altogether after only a few weeks.

In all sports it's critical that you maintain all areas including: strength, speed, flexibility, and endurance.

The bottom line is this: with the proper sports conditioning training you will literally explode with new power, speed, strength, etc. while at the same time significantly increasing your endurance and flexibility. All of this will transfer over to greatly improved sports performance.
